Hydraulic Cylinder Reseal Service
Peterson’s service team is committed to resealing hydraulic cylinders quickly and correctly the first time. That means using proper disassembly and assembly procedures, honing cylinder tubes, practicing contamination control, and installing the industry’s best hydraulic seals. We even check for other problems—such as dented or scored rods—and we pressure test each resealed cylinder.
Hoses and Couplings
Caterpillar is the only heavy equipment manufacturer that designs and manufacturers its own hose products, and as your authorized Cat dealer, Peterson is your best choice for installing and servicing these crucial hydraulic system components—for machines from Caterpillar and other brands. We use abrasion-resistant Caterpillar hoses and reusable couplings. Our computer-based Hydraulic Information System (HIS) puts data from current and non-current equipment at our fingertips, so we can find parts data for your systems quickly. Our computer-controlled hose assembly machines deliver high-quality, consistent crimps you can rely on. And our 5-Star Contamination Control certification from Cat ensures that we’ll delivery clean, contamination-free hoses and couplings—every time.
Cylinders and Rods
Peterson’s hydraulics experts are committed to service, repair, or exchange your system’s cylinders and rods the right way. Our services include: polishing, straightening, rerodding, retubing, honing beyond .010" oversize, rod recoating, and cylinder washing. We’ll do what it takes to keep your system running correctly, including pressure & quality testing.
Pumps and Motors
Peterson’s service team will repair your hydraulic system’s pumps and motors quickly and effectively to minimize your equipment’s downtime. We thoroughly inspect your system’s pumps and motors to offer repair options and a firm quote, relap port plate and barrel surfaces to like-new factory specifications, and clean every surface of contaminants. After re-assembly, your parts are given operational testing to ensure proper adjustments, pressure settings, and flow—without leaks.
Valves
Peterson’s hydraulics shop can inspect, reseal, and adjust valves accurately and quickly.
